Working at Cyberimpact means being part of a growing team driven by the values of simplicity, support, results and respect.
If you're a Canadian organization that needs contact data hosted in Canada, pricing that stays fixed in CAD, and CASL and Law 25 compliance built into your workflow, Cyberimpact is built for that. If SMS campaigns, a built-in CRM, or deep e-commerce integrations are central to your marketing, Mailchimp may still be the better fit.
The biggest differences are data residency, pricing, and compliance. Cyberimpact hosts your contact data in Canada and prices in CAD, so your costs don't move with the exchange rate. CASL and Law 25 compliance are part of the default workflow rather than something you configure yourself. Mailchimp offers SMS marketing, a built-in CRM, and A/B testing that Cyberimpact doesn't.
Mailchimp doesn't have a Canadian version. Canadian customers use the same US-hosted platform as everyone else, billed in USD, with data stored in the United States. Cyberimpact hosts data in Canada and bills in CAD, with support for CASL and Law 25 built in.
For most Canadian small businesses, Cyberimpact is the stronger fit. The free plan covers up to 250 contacts with unlimited sends and no credit card required. Paid plans start at $23.50 CAD per month, and pricing stays in Canadian dollars. CASL compliance is built in, so consent tracking and unsubscribe management aren't left to you to configure. Mailchimp doesn't offer built-in CASL support, bills in USD, and hosts data in the United States, which matters if you're in a regulated sector like healthcare or government.
Before cancelling, export your contacts from Audience, download your campaign reports, save your email templates as HTML, and note down any active automations, since Mailchimp doesn't let you export those. To pause your account instead of deleting it, go to Account & Billing, then Manage my plan, and select Temporarily pause my Marketing plan for 3 or 6 months. To permanently cancel, go to Account & Billing, then Manage my plan, and select Delete my account. Only the account Owner can do this, and once confirmed, all data is erased immediately with no refund for unused time. When you're ready to make the switch, our team handles the entire onboarding and migration for you, including contacts, templates, and setup. Contact us to get started.
Cyberimpact provides bilingual support in English and French on every plan. Mailchimp's support varies by tier, and French-language support isn't part of the platform.
